As many as 7 buildings on Jalan Ahmad Yani, Cempaka Putih Timur were demolished due to standing on channel and green lane.

After it's done, the park will be re-arranged, the channel will also be dredged by Water Management Sub-Department

Cempaka Putih Sub-District Deputy Head, Bernard Tambunan stated that the demolished buildings were used as settlement and business place.

"We demolish those buildings since they stand on channel making the area looks slum. Previously, we had fulfilled the procedure," he stated, Thursday (12/3).

Based on Beritajakarta.com's observation, about 30 joint officers from Satpol PP and PPSU started demolishing whole buildings manually. The owners have also left the location.

Whole wood and plywood materials  then put on the operational truck prepared. "After it's done, the park will be re-arranged, the channel will also be dredged by Water Management Sub-Department. The location was one of flood-prone points of the last year," he disclosed.
